I assume you are referring to Ben Flemings book?
I built that pulse edm years ago but never got the flushing setup correctly. So it's been collecting dust in a far corner of the shop. I have been meaning to pick up on it.
I think that power supply is the wrong type if you are trying to make a wire edm but I'm no ee and could be wrong.

You probably have come across this:

I'd like to get something like that built using linuxcnc for both sinker and wire someday.
The power supply if I recall correctly that he's using in the video is $$$

Cool, yeah the Fleming book for a pulse EDM.

Really quite fancy something like it but a bit of research to do first.

Check out Baxedm on YouTube, he's got a great machine and website but a bit too hi end for me- looks good though

Yeah baxedm is the same arc generator I looked into earlier. He wants almost 3K euros for it. Too much for me.

Not my experience but a question.
The new master 2.9 can do reverse run.
Would it be possible to use the arc voltage to "switch" to go back...

There was extensive discussion about EDM on the mailing list a few years ago. It might be worth searching the mailing list archives:
