Right, it can't move because all the X axis stepgen hal lines are commented out...

Ha! Thanks PCW. That fixed it!
I knew it was something simple/silly.
EDIT: I totally missed your second comment the first time around.

There are also some things that will improve the stepgen accuracy:
comment out all the
setp pid.N.maxerror .0005
statements
and all the
net N-vel-cmd => pid.N.command-deriv
statements
(where N is x,y,z)
comment out all the
setp pid.N.maxerror .0005
statements
and all the
net N-vel-cmd => pid.N.command-deriv
statements
(where N is x,y,z)

Thank you! I've commented those lines out.
I think you have me well on my way to getting this lathe running. I'm sure I will have more questions, but I really appreciate all the help!

I noticed that you have 3 axis with just X and Z in the ini file. Do you really want any Y axis commands at all. If not, you could delete them to make the files easier to read.

Yes, I'm still cleaning up the configuration files. I started with somebody else's config and it happened to be a 3 axis mill or router.
Once I got both axes moving, I deleted Y, changed it to a lathe configuration and added the charge pump. There are a bunch of little things that I still need to do, but it's starting to make a lot more sense.
