I just ordered 4 tb6600 drivers from Amazon. Was way cheaper than the gecko 540. Thank you for all the quick replys!

Okay so all my parts should be here tmrrw. I'm hoping just to set up a test bench and then jogging the motors from software and what not. My next question is. What is a great CAM software to get familiar with? I have some experience with AutoCAD from my college days is there any software out there that can use .dwg files to convert them to G code?

Fusion360 from Autodesk, it should be free for students and stuff. I never used it.

Fusion is free under a startup licence, it's cloud based.

It has parametric modelling and can make tool paths

Also look at onshape. its really cloud based and free if you share your work as open source. You can even use it on your phone!
