I would move...... I have friends that moved from Toronto becasue it just got too crazy with real estate.

Close to Alaska.... Montreal, Canada.
Rent very cheap. 7000 sq feet for 2200/month
we have about 9000sqft in our studio... add a zero to your rent and they will still evict you from coming up 40% short.

I think you will find that these encoders on older style Biesse need 12Vdc for supply but output ordinary 5V signals

It has these remote rs-485 I/O. I think I will just put a couple 7i84's in their place. Should do the trick.
The encoders should not be a problem.
