Where is a screenshot stored? ***SOLVED*** was created by Scot
Hello, all..
So I'm trying to find a screenshot that I took to show the output of Halscope. <yes, I got it to work>
Might anyone know off hand where I can find that image?

Not there. I've checked high and low, even in gimp. But I can't seem to find it. I actually don't even know if it was captured. Nothing came up when I pressed alt PrintScrn or just PrintScrn by itself.
Linux isn't new to me, but I'm not seriously versed in it. So since I haven't used it since Redhat 7.3, I have no idea what's missing from my configuration, nor do I have much in the department of knowledge to make things work if and when parts of the configuration are missing, which they often are, if not hidden from the less-versed. If it makes any difference, I'm using an out of the box, unchanged LinuxCNC 2.7.14.
I love the way it works, unfortunately, I don't quite know enough about how to make it work when there are parts not working. It's never been super user friendly.
The Debian directions say to press alt PrintScrn or just PrintScrn by itself. But as I said, nothing happens and no files show up in my home directory or in a place I can see in gimp, or any place I can see.
What I'm trying to do is capture a screenshot and post it here and send it to Jon Elson to see if I can figure out the tuning of a single brushless servo.
I'm kind of a newbie to much of this, but I also understand enough to get me into trouble.
Thanks for the heads up, though.
