Dependencies Question was created by mendez
Hi Guys,
For the first time I installed LinuxCNC and I'm blown away! I have 0 clue on how to use it; and I'm trying to find basic literature and all seems to advance.....example:
I want to install QtPyVCP (latest User Interface looks really nice) but I don't know how to install the dependencies
"sudo apt install python-pyqt5 python-dbus.mainloop.pyqt5 python-pyqt5.qtopengl python-pyqt5.qsci python-pyqt5.qtmultimedia qml-module-qtquick-controls gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad libqt5multimedia5-plugins pyqt5-dev-tools python-dev python-setuptools python-pip git python-pyqtgraph"
I went to the terminal and typed; but it doesn't work.
:
Thanks!

Thanks Leon82. OK; so my first mistake is that I installed Debian 7 Wheezy; and it should be linuxcnc-stretch-uspace-amd64-r13.iso

Installing probe basic should give you a functional display. If you want to modify it you would need to install qtpyvcp.

You need a full HD display for that, so 1920x1080. It was made especially for those monitors.I installed Probe Basic but I cant see the GUI. My screen size is 1280x1024. Is it not ok?
