Great you guys are making progress. I would get the THCAD-10 as its much more versatile and not as prone to letting the magic smoke out on a HF start machine.

Doing just that, using a THCAD300 on a HF/HV plasma, two days with no smoke should be enough to prove that it does work.
And, here i go again:
----
Using THCAD300 with a HF start plasma is not recommended without exclusive knowledge of where to wire/connect it inside the plasma source.

The drive for the Z axis will most probably have to go, that is why i said that you do need a new drive, the motor remains. Maybe it can be used but the time it takes to figure that out and to do the new wiring to and from it is much more expensive than a new drive. The one i did, i did not bother with it, way to much work, so just added a new one.
Just checked the pictures again, no need for a sensor, it already has them.
And there is no machine schematics in the attached pictures. That is the important part as without it it will be quite a challenge to help you set everything properly.
You need only one 7i77, hopefully ! :)

Great. Which drive would you recommend, please?

THCAD needs 2 resistors of 1 Mega Ohm resistance, so if you order this, order the resistors also.
This is more flexible if and when you move to the big plasma.
