getting error messages when updating to linuxcnc 2.9 and 7i96 issues

I’m sorry I’m just really not familiar with these thing at all. I’m not sure how to do that or what to change them to

try this
sudo apt-get install python3-tk

I compiled master branch from source and just worked through each missing dependency to resolve it. This was one of them. I did resolve it, I can't remember how. Sorry I did not take notes now.

Some of these, I also changed the 3 to a 2 or deleted the 3 to install the 2.7 version just in case.

Yes I’ve installed python3 and that doesn’t help

I must admit this is a bit too confusing for me I still don’t really understand it. Should I try to update to 2.8 instead of 2.9?
