Possibly needed to use a 7i76D?
I've used NPN sensors with a 2.2k 1W pullup with a 7i76e. (Recommended by PCW)
And yes I was shocked seeing Bevins ask for help with servos!
PS: I've had a bit of attrition with the cheap ebay prox sensors I've used this way. I wondered if I should not have used a current limiting resistor as you would with a LED? I've been pulling the resistor and replacing with a PNP sensor as they fail.

Good to know. I will use a relay and order some. These came on the machine from China. Same place they used N/O limit and home switches.... now to watch this inverter video.
and for the record, THEY ARE STEP AND DIR servo's.... lol

It seems i will never get used to that, but who knows. I did play with that though on a Hurco retrofit with Granite Devices Argon drives, and promptly set them back to +-10V.and for the record, THEY ARE STEP AND DIR servo's.... lol

Yeah, I prefer +-10. These came this way and they are Yaskawa. Seems like a waste....lol
I wanted to do this machine in one day. Doesn't look like it will get done. Everything will be done when I fix the Z home and limits, just have the spindle to deal with. I will try it, but I am pretty sure it wont work at first shot.

Something change in 2.9 that changes max velocity before homing and after homing?
Before homing I can jog at 600, after it is homed I can only go 180.

Max_velocity is set in the ini file, per joint, per axis and in the display and traj sections.
I always set the display and traj sections to 25 to 50% more than each joint/axis, this way when i jog X and Y at the same time, it does not have to clip the velocity.

jogging is not at max velocity. I think its at default velocity but I have not looked at this for a while
