The velocity allowed for THC is determined from these variables in the .ini file:
[AXIS_Z]
MAX_VELOCITY     = 20
MAX_ACCELERATION = 200
OFFSET_AV_RATIO  = 0.5

[JOINT_n]
MAX_VELOCITY     = 10
MAX_ACCELERATION = 100
From the axis section, offset_av_ratio = 0.5 apportions 50% of the velocity and acceleration to the axis and 50% to the eoffsets so the THC maximum velocity from the above would be 10. This is the reason we use 0.5 and double the joint velocities in the axis section.

The SETUP_VELOCITY in the Paramaters Tab is used for moves to and from probe height, pierce height, cut height etc. not for THC.

THC is allowed the maximim velocity but is tempered by PID.
