Tried editing it to 100000 but didn't change anything and I put it back to million.

The second one has these convenient readout, so maybe I can just set it to 3.5V ?? What do you think?

You need to check and/or change the PC power supply, that is the one powering the Mesa 5i25.

The 3volt power supply they are talking about is the computer power supply. Simply get another one and change it out.Is it possible that I screwed up when experimenting with the screw on that power supply? And what will be the result if the power went beyond 3.6V?
Do like the others said. Remove the 5i25 card and use a pencil eraser and a little alcohol to clean the pins. That would be the first things I would do.

so you are saying the power supply of the PC, not the power supply for the CNC setup?
ok. I'll look into that next and remove and clean that card.
But on the other question, I think I screwed up yesterday when tinkering with that Voltage adjustment screw without really thinking what it is doing or how sensitive it is. Would this be fatal for the CNC board or driver motors?

I did read this but ignored it as it was not important, those pots have a limited range of adjustment so most probably nothing goes wrong, but if there is rust in that pot = do not touch it.

All 24V power supplies i use can go from 18.2V to 27.8V, still within range of everything attached to it.

What screw are you talking about. That's a 24vdc power supply probably used for I/o and/or motors and if it was one of the screws with the wires on it, I wouldn't worry about that. Get a new power supply in the computer and clean the pins of the card.Oh, ok. I see.

I am in Montreal or else I could look at it for you (you are 6 hours away). If worse comes to worse, you could send me the 5i25 card and I can test it or send the whole computer and I can look at it. I have spare 5i25 cards and if it is bad I can replace it. If it is the computer I can get setup with another computer and get it programmed for you.
However, I am leaving for Florida at the end of the month so if you choose that route, then you need to be snappy.

If you look at the picture there is a label "V+ ADJ"... and under that label there is a green LED light and a plastic potentiometer screw. So I played with this yesterday. This is on the CNC board, not in the PC.What screw are you talking about.
This is somewhat comforting. I'll do the things both of you said about the PC power adapter and the 5i25 card and will report here if anything changes. All 24V power supplies i use can go from 18.2V to 27.8V, still within range of everything attached to it.
bevings, thank you so much for offering the help. I'll send you a message to discuss this option.
