Hi guys,
I'm brand new to linuxcnc and linux in general. Got a lot working over the last three days but have one nuisance I can't clear.

The top menu bar in linuxcnc 2.8 buster is showing a growing array of network connection icons. It looks like one is added perhaps each time I login? How do I clear these and perhaps fix the issue?

I've attached a screenshot for reference.

I have the RTAI kernel installed if that could possibly be part of the culprit?

I was having 60000+ latency on my Optiplex 790 and thought I needed the RTAI kernel. But latency turned out to be caused by the AMD Radeon 5450? add in card. I'm guessing perhaps 2.8 dropped the drivers for this old card as 2.7 did not have this latency issue at all.

Right now I'm running via the onboard Intel graphics with latency of around under 3-4000. But don't know how to reverse out this RTAI kernel if that's no longer needed. Nor how to install graphics drivers for that card if that's another solution to keeping the card. But I digress, those are two side issues.

The row of connection icons across the top of the page is the current issue.

Thank you if you have already seen this before and have a fix. I was not finding the issue via the search.

I guess this is a hard one? No one knows the answer to this bug yet perhaps?

Maybe I need to go ask on a Debian or xfce forum instead do you think?

Thanks guys.
