my time is so valuable, I'd happily pay for preconfigured files to use with know working hardware configurations.
A working preprocessor would be a good start.

That's the "problem" no two machines are going to be alike.
The stepconf & pnconf wizards give you a basic config, that will give you basic operation. After that you need to modify\tweak it to suite your site.

this really speaks to a fundamental problem with the software itself.
It should be a matter of inputing the variables, pitch, steps, switches etc and then it should work, period. Both of these files work in Sim-axis but fail on my machine. which has 0.0001 resolution with 2000ppr encoders at 40000 pulse per inch. and if you guessed,
Radius arc end position faults of some manner, you get a dollar.
go figure

If you input the correct variables it will work 99%. The devs can't account for every combination some one may have.
If need help you should start a need thread. Jumping on an old thread and not actually describing your actual problem doesn't help you and doesn't help us help you.
State what hardware you are using. eg MESA Parallel Port or other.
Describe your machine, are you using servos, open or closed loop steppers and any other details that might be relevant.
Sate which version of Linuxcnc you are using, what flavour of Linux and your kernel
State what your issue is.
Provide your HAL & INI Files.
If you are having a gcode issue attach the file, hopefully not megabytes. Just a small sample maybe of use.
If you have done these hopefully you found the help you were after.
Remember Linuxcnc is developed by volunteers, the forum is populated by volunteers and it has not been guaranteed as a turn key solution.
It does work and works very well.

DC servo's, 2000ppr encoders with index,40,000 pulse per inch iirc Mesa 5i25 with 7i77d
which ini files specifically ? BTW I'd happily contribute some $ to get it working and it was working properly for months, then boom, radius arc errors

I am posting the Fusion360 post processor file here. I've modified there post processor it's v2, am I correct in thinking that this is the correct adjustment to make ? is it luck of the draw that sometimes it works and others it doesn't ???, and it appears they have for some INSANE reason gone back to a much looser precision setting in the post processor 0.002mm instead of the machine default of 0.0001 iirc from my extensive 5 hr read of this issue on monday and tuesday

Usually most issues require the machines HAL & INI files.
As stated previously in another thread the arc issue is being looked at external to the forum.
(0.002mm/25.4)=0.00007874 inch

If LinuxCNC was working and now you're getting radius errors your post processor is at fault.
