Homing Problems was created by Roger S
Hello everyone
I've been running my machine with the same configuration for almost two years. there were never any problems. as of today, homing on the x-axis no longer works. the machine drives over the switch without anything happening. I use inductive proximity switches. I checked the sensor, it works perfectly. when I trigger it manually, it does exactly what it's supposed to. the correct signal states are also displayed in the halshow when i trigger the sensor by hand. the switch then no longer reacts during homing. Does anyone have any idea what that could be?

Use hal show to watch the input pins, see if they toggle when you trigger the switch by hand.
From a quick glance, the files look ok.

Is it legal to have a HOME_FINAL_VELOCITY of 0?

Yes, the signals are displayed correctly when I trigger them manually. The sensor only no longer reacts during referencing

You may need to plot the joint 0 position + home-x with halscope
to debug this

Caused me some raised eyebrows when my big machine was doing that as full speed was set at 55 meters/minute and acceleration was at 7000mm/s/s!

Ahh the documentation says it moves at full speed to home if
HOME_FINAL_VELOCITY is unspecified so
HOME_FINAL_VELOCITY probably defaults to 0
