Can't you use an external pull down and disable the internal ones? But I guess you can only disable all internal pull ups and then you have to provide the other pull ups externally as well.

I don't see these lines in HAL :Aren't they required to get communication ?

Not required. Tested, works withoutI don't see these lines in HAL :
addf hm2_5i25.0.read_gpio servo-thread addf hm2_5i25.0.write_gpio servo-thread Aren't they required to get communication ?
