So I have the machine running (Hurco VM2-converted to riveter), finally. The MSI computer with the 8125 ethernet card did not make life easy, fortunately there was some info on the forums to help get around that. I ended up with bookworm and a patch from PCW and the QTdragon touch screen, but I am fighting a few issues on boot up. Seems like I am still missing something. After I get through this portion I will need to configure the tool changer.

What issues are you having?
-
From your report:Missing pin and you are not using a real time kernel, so you can not control machine with this installation.
LinuxCNC requires RT or RTAI kernels to run machines.
-
Why the double post?
Why are you uploading xml files?
Upload simple text files.
-
From your report:
qtvcp_postgui.hal:3: Pin 'hal_manualtoolchange.change' does not exist
5007
5059
Stopping realtime threads
Unloading hal components
Note: Using POSIX non-realtime

I'll repost the report file here in text, On boot up I get an error about loading an image file followed by other related errors, if you hit retry, it loads fine. The machine will then home out and you can run the test program. As far as the double post, the green submit button does not change status so I did not catch the fact that it went.

Still have a few errors on start up, but the machine will start, home out and it was running some test programs today. I am having a few fatal errors if you edit the program and try to save it under the same name. It will save the program but crash the Linuxcnc and then you have to reboot the computer. Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated

So at this point the computer boots up and the linuxcnc faults out with tool_mmap_user, file does not exist and a "EMCDISPLAY" errors and then does not try to reopen. The system is running Debian 12 with Linuxcnc 2.9 to get around issues with an embedded 8125 ethernet card.
