This seems like an error message related to python version.
What version of linuxcnc are you using?

I dont think I have tried qtvismach with python 2 but it's probably possible.

I using linuxcnc 2.7.15 in debian wheezy.

Maybe the qt vismach library needs to be added?

I do believe linuxcnc 2.7 / wheezy is too old. It might be possible with a lot of work, but I don't have a system to even try it.

If it's a need I would suggest moving up to a new version of linuxcnc, but only if it's a need.
