I think that you would need to keep a copy of the process ID then send it a terminate event. (SIGTERM ?)
Not sure of the details, just trying to supply some google search keys

I think maybe the way is not difficult. i've seen posts that use buttons to activate vismach. like this post:
forum.linuxcnc.org/38-general-linuxcnc-q...r-usability?start=10
but i don't know how to do it

Actually that is not a button but just a label. The button is below that and is to clear the path plot in the vismach window. Vismach is loaded automatically at startup.
[edit]
I don't know if it's possible to start/close vismach from a button but you would somehow have to link/unlink the hal connections of the vismach model.
[edit2]
In qt-axis you can embed the vismach model as a tab in the axis window so that may be a more straight forward path.
[edit3]
I just noticed your other thread and that you are already trying to embed vismach as a tab. cmorley should be able to help you there.

Yes, to clear the pinkish/orangy tool backplot line that shows where the tool tip has moved.

Maybe try it out.
Start one of the sim configs in the axis/vismach section and move the machine about and you should see the backplot in the vismach simulation then click the 'clear' button. I'm not sure if all the configs have the 'clear' button available. The ones in the '5axis' section should.

pyvcp can only control HAL pins so can't load/open programs.
Gladevcp or qtvcp could though.using python extentions.
in 2.9 you can embed qtvismach into AXIS's tabs.
