Connections probles

A funny coincidence i think. my workshop is called that.

Hi Tommy. I tried to edit connections but nothing could display. Is there something that i might have missed during the installation? Sorry am new to linux..

Did you follow the instruction here to setup your network: forum.linuxcnc.org/27-driver-boards/3559...ethernet-mesa-boards

Or did you edit the file /etc/network/interfaces as explained here: linuxcnc.org/docs/2.9/html/man/man9/hm2_eth.9.html

(Both ways are ok but you can use only one of the two)

1. I have tried to remove the many icons popping up but see the attached on what am getting on the sudo.
2.Previoussly I tried to follow the instructions to set up my network but the "edit connections" option could activate.   

sudo apt update
then try to install.

Can you reach the internet with that computer at all?
If your computer cannot connect to the internet then you are not going to get anywhere trying to download and install software packages.
