Does the BOB (blue board with the big connector) have any LED on?
Is it plugged into a USB on the PC?

A close up picture of the BOB and drives might help, maybe the wiring is done differently, or enables are wired to another pin, or...
In the meantime, check if the drives have the same pinout for the inputs, they have writings on one side.

i'm not sure I understand " have the same pinout for the inputs" although I see the writing and all the same points have a connection as the drives in the probotix. I'll see if I can get a good picture of the BOB

Power on the PC, press F2 when logo shows, in the BIOS find the parallel port (probably in peripherals or similar), check if the parallel port address is 378 or 0x378

Good news. I screwed off the BOB and found axis labels on the underside of the board. through a YouTube video, I stumbled upon, I deduced that the drivers were wired wrong, so after switching wires on the Z axis I could jog it. Now to connect the limit switches. And get the DC spindle moving on command.
