Y axis A slave help request was created by Quarter20
My machine is using the Y and A motors off a parallel port breakout board. I went thru the step config wizard and set up X, Y, and Z configuration and included the A motor pins while doing so. Im really not sure how to proceed as I need Y and A to both home at the same time? Does anyone have a solution for this application?
Thanks in advance for your help and support!

Something like this should work:

You may need to invert one direction
and I'm not sure if you have home switches.
( Gantry homing typically takes 2 home switches )

What version of LinuxCNC?
Does it have "tandem N axis" as a choice?
Use that if possible, there are no slaves in LinuxCNC.
Just checked and 2.10 has those choices.

Ahh, that may be a master only option for stepconf and not in 2.9.4

If stepconf is standalone (I think it is) you should be able to just use the latest:

File Attachment:

File Name: stepconf.txt
File Size:74 KB

( rename to stepconf and chmod +x stepconf )
