The only jumpers I have changed are the W2's on the 5i25 and the 7i76 and W1 on the 7i69. I remember looking at W3 last night and it is to the left.
I assume the second set of serial lines is just passed through to the terminal block through a differential driver. If that is the case even if there was something messed up with the 7i76 I still should be getting something on the 7i69. I see no comm activity on it's led.

Weird... bad or partially plugged in cable maybe?
I dont see many things that could cause both the 7I76 field I/O and the 7I69 not to work
(only thing in common really is the cable and I think a 3.3V regulator on the non isolated side)
The whole card set may need to be returned to evaluate whats going on

I got a RMA for the card set. Before I send it off I decided to try it in another compter, an old P4 I had lying around. Installed a fresh copy of linuxcnc and dropped in my config files from the other computer. It works... Green light starts blinking on the i69.
Put it back in the other machine. Nothing, Try another PCI slot, nothing, try different power supply, nothing. The only thing I have not tried is reinstalling linuxcnc on that machine. Guess that is next. Any other ideas?

A re-install will very likely not make any difference.
Theres either an incompatibility of some kind with the non-working
motherboard and the 5I25 or a problem with the PCI interface on the
non-working MB.
For the driver to get as far as it did , it has to be a fairly subtle problem
(since config reads, config writes, and memory reads must be working)

I was doing quite a bit of messing around trying to get a firewire camera working on the system and figured I might have messed something up. And you were right, a reinstall made no difference. This is an industrial PC system with a SBC on a ISA/PCI backplane. All the other cards work, USB, Wifi, etc. It must be this is just incompatible.
With this card, will it matter what kind of processor I am using? It's getting to a point where it is easier to find CoreDuos and stuff like that than old P4's.

Got everything reinstalled in a different machine. Bad thing is I cant disable ACPI on this MoBo. Would this cause this random message I get on startup of LinuxCNC in dmesg:
[ 1222.442914] In recent history there were
[ 1222.442916] 3003862, 3029872, 2918310, 3317888, and 2671530
[ 1222.442918] elapsed clocks between calls to the motion controller.
[ 1222.442926] This time, there were 3531150 which is so anomalously
[ 1222.442928] large that it probably signifies a problem with your
[ 1222.442930] realtime configuration. For the rest of this run of
[ 1222.442932] EMC, this message will be suppressed.

It shouldn't matter, no. Atoms work very nicely.

If you dont mind, can you try reinstalling the 5I25 in the industrial
PC system and then posting the results of lspci -vvv here?
(you can just post the 5I25 relevant part to save clutter)
There _may_ be any easy fix

No, it's not a big deal. I'll give it a try tonight. The p4 it is working in right now shows jitter up to 350,000 every once in a while. It's does not seem to be an smi issue at this point, it just seems random.
