default and max velocity limited?

I think those limits in pncconf should be increased, _but_ why don't you just
edit your .ini file?

At some point (especially with a plasma configuration) you will have modifications
in your hal and ini files that will prevent you from running pncconf again so you
will need to understand how to change ini/hal file settings eventually anyway...

I try to edit standard settings until the are ok with the wizard...quick trial and error...

for example ...velocity ..I don't know how to calculate it ..
MAX_VELOCITY = 26.6666666667 .....machine units in sec

just understood 26.6mm/sec x 60 = mm/minute in wizard

as a newbie , axes velocity and joint velocity , I change and read ini to see what changed where ...

but you are absolutely right ...I have a cross laser and and ...but still struggle with tuning...my machine is still so slow...

If you are using an installed version of linuxcnc (I've lost track of what you have done)
then screen.glade should be in folder named similar to:
/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/pncconf/

replaced all of them worked!!

Sorry that's not enough information to trouble shoot. If you run pncconf from the terminal it should give more info.

sorry, forget this request ....screen.glade must have been corrupted, downloaded new from github , and copied where it should belong...works!!
