I think that this should be fairly easy, though I have not seen it done.
Some discussion (with no answer) forum.linuxcnc.org/38-general-linuxcnc-q...ool-change-etc#84147
If you can add an M-code to the end of the G-code file then is seems fairly easy in theory.
If it needs to work for any G-code file without modification then this seems like a job for either a HAL component that monitors program.is-running or possibly a remap.
