You need to create an account, of course.

I am not sure how it works if you do not have commit-rights to LinuxCNC. (ie, I can't easily try it out from your perspective) But you can certainly create pull-requests. I am not sure how you can save intermediate stages, though.

The docs are written in asciidoc, which is designed to be readable in raw form, but to also be renderable in various styles and formats. Both the PDF and HTML docs are generated from the asciidoc source.

The "updating_linuxcnc" file is especially important for 2.8. A lot has changed.
