That wasn't a tough concept but some people have a problem with that fact and aren't willing to learn the environment. Those people are better off doing something else with themselves.

There's nothing wrong with you using a Raspberry Pi. You have Glade working and that's great.....But you cannot use Glade-GTK3 to open a file made with gladevcp for glade-GTK2I don't understand why I discard the PI4, I have my lathe working with one with 7i92, 7i88, 7i73, raspian 11, 64 bits, GLADE and everything works fine.
And I'm putting together another one with 7c81, 7i88, C10 and BOB 5 axis China.

Mr Justin White, (using blazini36 to hide his real name)
I'm leaving this alone simply because of your abusive comments. You've done a great job of driving me away. Your most recent posting is perfect example.
I have a lot of projects on the go and don't need the abuse nor to spend time on something that clearly won't work.
I'm in the middle of designing an add on board with a PIC32 that plugs into the PIC18F4685 socket of my ELS product. The PIC18 software ported without any major issues directly to a PIC32, running more than 10x faster and now I'll have a hardware quadrature encoder input for it along with USB so dongles can be plugged in along with other USB devices.
www.autoartisans.com/ELS/
I've designed both the software and hardware for this project which started in 2006. We've discussed using LinuxCNC underneath the covers with the current hardware serving as the user interface. This is on the groups.io/g/E-Leadscrew group which would have had you moderated instantly for your derogatory comments.
However your abusive comments, like calling me a troll, are the main reason so many others just aren't interested in LinuxCNC. People reading the this thread for reference will find that they won't post simply because you might react that way to them.
Congratulations.

GLADE-GTK2 IS GLADE 3
GLADE-GTK3 is GLADE version above 3.8.6
Edit: You can open a glade gtk2 file with glade gtk3 these days. They must have added support in recent versions because horizontal and vertical boxes were depricated in earlier versions of GTK3 so that I take back....
but the main point here was you need linuxcnc's gladevcp environment to open a file with gladevcp widgets or else glade-gtk2 can't open it at all and glade-gtk3 just shows dead widgets

It is not true, I have created virtual panels in GLADE 3 and later, I have been able to edit them with GLADE 3, like what I am showing in GLADE 3, which were created with GLADE 2, the only thing is that some wigets have been decapitated.

I certainly don't try to hide my real name but if I was what you just did here is called "doxxing" and it is illegal.
Not sure what the mods would do about it but I think I know what law enforcement would so I'd cool it with that if I were you
