Startup Error + Axis limit configuration
OK, that does look like a straight upgrade from EMC2 v 2.4.6 to LinuxCNC 2.5.1Heres what I got from "uname -r":
2.6.32-122-rtai
I'm running ubuntu "10.04 LTS"
Which means that the original config file really ought to just work.

I also can't understand to setup the coordinate system properly with LinuxCNC, on the X-axis as a example, I would like to have 0-649 (mm), so I put "Table travel = "0" to "649" in the setup.
But when I run the program for some reason I get the intervall "-374,240" to "274,761" which makes 649,001 (374,240+274,761), so the length is good, but I want them to be positive and start at zero.
If you press the # key, or select view->show machine position then you will probably see the numbers you expect.
Generally you machine in a work-centred co-ordinate system where (0,0,0) is a corner of the material or the middle of a hole or similar.

Double check your velocity and acceleration settings.
Glad to hear you are making progress.

You might want to take a look at my G code tutorials for more info on touching off.
