How to adjust acceleration

If you need to make a coordinated move at a less-than-max accelleration then I think that one option (though not an elegant one) would be to break the move down into a series of short moves at different velocities.

CNC machines are optimised for precise position and velocity control for part dimensions and feedrate control. Controlling acceleration isn't a basic requirement, other than respecting the physical limits of the hardware.
