No skipping steps there!!!
And you can not ignore feedback on analog servo systems if the motors are mounted on the machine, that ends up badly. But for testing on the table/desk you can, although there is no benefit to it, feedback must be sorted before even enabling the drives.

Is it this one?i also found the 7i77 servo tune post, wich I am currently reading to get used to what I need to do in future.

that's kind of sad... can I buy a cheap servo drive to at least see if my config is right?
I mean, I get that tuning without the machine and the exact motors does not make any sense.
I just want to see, I did correct with Hal/ini pins to wire the machine if I get there....

what I already did was putting low voltage to the x and y motors servo drive to see if I use the right inputs there and get movement. that worked fine. but it was with a lab voltage source, not any controller board....

Yes you can, not required though.
Just follow the steps on that post and make sure each step is OK before moving on to the next, by the time you enable the drives and the inherent danger with it, all the safety stuff is already in place and the most you get is a short thump when enabling the machine and the analog outputs re reversed in regards to encoder feedback, so if all is good when enabling the machine nothing happens, might just notice the DRO numbers changing a bit.
Oh, and please let me know if something is not clear or can be written differently for easier understanding.
Thank you.
