So for the last month instead of building my cnc mill controller I have been messing with the E-Bikes again.
It does serve a purpose though. I know it will cause a problem that only a cnc can fix which will give me the motivation
to get back to building the cnc mill controller. It's a vicious cycle. I will be switching over from a hub motor
to a Mini Cyclone mid drive. I have also been playing with a VESC motor controller. See link

I have been eyeballing a Santacruz Heckler or Specialized E-Revo. Since I am in Texas there are still a bunch of trails that Ebikes are not legal on. Even the Class 1, laws need to get changed to accept them. When we go to CO, AR, OK, NM I can ride it most anywhere.

Now they banned them their as well. The usual B.S. not safe to have electric Bicycles and pedestrians in the same area.
Too many complaints. BLA, BLA, BLA,
But yet it's perfectly fine to have bicyclists next to trafffic that drives in excess of 50 MPH !!!

Where I live ( Florida ) their are a few trails near me that allow them . It used to be you could even ride them on the beach .I have been eyeballing a Santacruz Heckler or Specialized E-Revo. Hey BigJohnT if you are able to mount the controller to where it gets direct air cooling you will get better
longevity out of it. My Dad burned his up keeping it in a bag. Ironically we installed another motor in the
front as well so now he has an all wheel drive fat tire E-bike . It does great for both on and off road

After riding it the control box was not even warm so I don't think I need to have it open to the air. And I like things neat...
