Moving setup-files to another computer

Hi

Newbie need help to move setup to another computer.
My old computer with ver2.6 was to slow. So I've got a new and installed ver2.7, but how do I move my setup to the new computer ?

I'd start by copying the "linuxcnc" folder in your home directory from your old computer to your new one. That should move all of your old configuration files from the old to new.

There are also a couple of minor changes that may need to be made to your hal files. They are coverd here.

That went ok, but now my x- and Y-axis is turneded around, and I can't recall how to change it. I'ts is more than 3 years since I set my cnc up...

X and Y switched or just moving the wrong way?

There are lots of ways to change these, and the simplest solution will depend on how your machine is configured.
To change the direction of a step/dir config, you can usually just invert the dir pin.

If you have more than one config file, then the one that is right is probably still there, keep trying different ones until you find the one that is right.
(If you look at file dates it is probably the newest one.)
