Install Linuxcnc to ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64 bit

Guys , I'm very beginner of linux. I want to install linuxCNC to my Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64bit. I searched everywhere but i couldnt find any complete tutorials to do this. Is it possible to inslall linuxCNC to Ubuntu 16.4 ? can anuone give me a complete tutorial ?

Since Linux Mint 18.1 and Ubuntu 16.04 use the same packages (more or less) you can follow this thread.

i tried to follow the first guide.
but i got this error

The ftp servers no longer exist
www.kernel.org/shutting-down-ftp-services.html

Just use www.kernel.org instead.

I know that you are asking for ubuntu.
If you want to try debian, just download and install the latest, debian in www.linuxcnc.org/testing-stretch-rtpreempt/
(note: It is experimental, but I am running a older version at about one year on a daily use machine without major errors)
This version have most of things working out of the box like ubuntu.

I just did (right now on a new setup), and without any tweek, mods, drivers, bios changes, anything I got the attachment...
It is a 30 min job.

Update: While downloading and installing packages I got a worst latency, but still a good one:

1ms: 20124
25us: 15384
