Updating to latest version of 2.8

I seem to be stuck at version 2.8.0-pre1 2765 of LinuxCNC.

When I try to update to the latest version, either with apt-get or Synaptic Package Manager, it doesn't find anything newer. When I checked my sources list, I found it was requesting the 2.7 branch, not the master branch.

I've searched the forum for the correct string to use, but nothing seems to work (master-rt, master-rtai, etc.)

Have to admit, I'm pretty rusty at Linux. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,
Tom

Success!

I had looked at buildbot, but apparently not close enough.

Thanks,
Tom

IF You do not Need Gantryhoming or the New featurers
DO NOT UPdate go with 2.7.14

Personally, I think this is bad advice. Master branch is all I've ever run. There are many things you get with the master branch but learning to compile it from source is by far the best way to keep current. Hopefully it will replace V 2.7 as the release version in the near future.
