I am trying to install linuxcnc on my new Odroid H2+.

I have downloaded the iso from

cnc.beaglebrainz.net/cdimage/cnc-19.3.0-...lus-uspace-64bit.iso

However, when I try to install, I get the attached error.

Any ideas what is causing it?

Thanks

Can you reboot and check this first:
mount | grep efi
lsmod
Then check that you have a network connection.

Sorry, I'm new to linux, I'm going to need a bit more explanation.

I didn't have a network connection. Is a network connection required for install?

Thanks

Yep.
I just booted from the same image and on my end everything is fine.
Once you connect to a network and have an internet connection the install will go ok. Best option is a network cable.

This has nothing to do with me at my end, but is just part of the original Mint installer.

Hey, just fired up my Odroid H2+ with 16GB RAM, and your LinuxCNC iso. Running great! Quick question, can I do normal Mint upgrades/updates without fear of breaking things?
For example, it wants me to upgrade to Linux Mint Ulyana 20...
Cheers!

Normal updates are ok.
Upgrading is untested and personally I wouldn’t recommend it. You may lose the ability to update Linuxcnc as I have not created a Mint 20 repo.
Do not update/upgrade the kernel. You will lose networking.

Hey mode could we have these last 2 posts moved to the Odroid thread ?

Ah OK,
I'll reinstall. Good thing I didn't get too far with my setup. Time to build a controller box... Just digging into din rails and terminal blocks. I've never used them before, but it really seems like the way to go!
Cheers!
