I just want to make sure you want me to do that for the full debian 12 linuxcnc install iso or the debian netlist iso with linuxcnc installed afterwards?

I am going to throw in a different drive and run the Debian 12 linuxcnc iso then post back give me about a half hour.

That is exactly what i needed, does not mention minor versions just Debian 12.

cat /etc/os-release
Should return more helpful info, hopefully.

after I finish the install on the other drive I will get you that on both of them for reference.

Debian 12 with XFCE and linuxcnc 2.9.2 install iso
fail file dump from terminal
 

cat etc os release file
 

now to put the other drive back in and post that one
