*********************** advice about deasda driver before to read all post *****************************
lcec_deasda driver admit to work only in Cyclic synchronous velocity mode --- NO OTHER MODE ---
*************************************************************************************************************
Hello to everyone .... never use asd-a2-e drive from delta .... so I set driver parameter to P01-1 to "C" for ethercat cia402 ... than try to read data using terminal command "ethercat slaves" .... but responding is only long 32 bit data instead of producer name .... plus if try to start Axis Gui I have an error on corresponding lcec.0.3.xx pin .... I have 3 drive from other brand and 1 delta asd-a2-e drive .... I see there are a specific drive on src/lcec forlder into github .... so question was: need to use a specific drive or specific xml config istead generc one for asd-a2-e- delta drive? cia402 PDO's not was the usual?
If someone can share some link about linuxcnc+ethercat+asd-a2-e setting was good enought.
real thanks in advances

It was the thread with asd-b3-e I was thinking about. Maybe, just maybe, the same need to be done for the asd-a2-e driver.

hi bkt
try this link github.com/liuzq71/LinuxCNC-ASDA-A2-E
it worked for me
there are the parameters to insert into the servo and if you want to give the name Asda A2E there is also the Delta-asda.bin file with the procedure on how to do it

so with ASDA-soft can read parameter inside ASDA-A2-E Servo_Ethercat.par right?
But why delta not make a manual with parameter list so no need too effort? ... any how seems to see panasonic drive ... a lot of parameter ... probabily too mutch.
what is siitool used for? I understand that once the correct parameters have been loaded with ASDA-soft then theoretically I could use "generic drive" instead of "lcec_deasda" drive... is this correct?
siitool was only for write correct name and obtain correct response from ethercat slave command?
