By using the asda2e you can use the 14 dinputs and 5 doutputs of the drive and spare the extra digital io modules.

This is a good opportunity, but how do I configure these inputs and outputs? I tried different *.xml files, DeASDA and generic. The pins are in the HAL, but the servo drive does not respond to them. ASDA software controls it normally.

Use this xml file instead. There are all the ios configured.
Also you have to program on each drive the following:
P2-18 -> 0x0130
P2-19 -> 0x0131
P2-20 -> 0x0132
P2-21 -> 0x0133
P2-22 -> 0x0134
P4-06 -> 0x0000
Or use the attached parameter file if you have the asda-soft.
Rename the *.txt file to *.par

Thanks for the explanation, the outputs are working with these settings. I was surprised that there are hidden parameters for the outputs. I didn't see them in any manual, or in asda soft either. But the inputs are still not working. Maybe there are hidden settings for the inputs too? Or am I missing something else?

Of course, the first thing I did was upload your *.par file to the servo. But there was a problem: the firmware versions didn't match. Your file was 01.645, and my drive was 01.644. ASDA software did the conversion, but the DI didn't work.

I found a solution: parameter P3-18 must be set to 0x1000, then the inputs start working from linuxcnc. This works for me, perhaps this will also help someone with the problem of non-functioning DI.

Strange because in the attached parameter file the P3-18 is also set to 0x1000h.

Thank you very much for this screenshot. For a long time, I couldn't understand why the manual didn't match the hardware. It seems that the old firmware was done differently...

I'm using the latest ASDAsoft v5.5.0.0, could this be the case? Otherwise its the servos firmware as you mention.

I also use version 5.5, it seems to be a firmware issue.
