Finally I got it. 6 Axis working from telnet. Before I missed to start the inetd.

If you are not using reset mode (Not sure if the RPI can do this)
The step pulse width is the base period.

Drifting in a (mod) 45 degree angle suggests crosstalk to me.
Maybe a loose ground or 5V common in the step wiring?

Look like analog servos so a 7I97T is probably a good choice.
As far as wiring goes, do you have a schematic of the interface PCB?

The Wiki has a problem with the certificate. We don't know what the problem is and only one person has the admin credentials at Dreamhost.
That person has tried creating a new certificate for the Wiki, but it still seems to not be working.

The result if this is that wiki.linuxcnc.org will work (with a warning that it is not secure) and wiki.linuxcnc.org will not work. (giving a sleeping robot error page)

I have tried to get help from Dreamhost, they won't talk to me....

This might, or might not, be related to the problem with logging in to make edits. I don't know how that authentication is handled.

Thank you for the info. Back in November, 2024, I did managed to build and install a PREEMPT_RT kernel to my Raspberry Pi 4B:

But I did not know how to make other configurations as you have done: I did not know we have different displays, etc.

I have also built LinuxCNC from source and installed it from the build: only last week, I have found out that I have done a simulated-realtime version of LinuxCNC. PnCConf reports:

I did not know we can install LinuxCNC from a prebuilt package to a Raspbian OS as you have done.

Might I have a question, please? You use -j6 in the command:

On my Raspberry Pi 4B, nproc reports 4, I use -j4.

So is it true that later Pi 4B revisions have more cores? I bought mine back in middle 2023. I don't have Pi 5 yet.

I use three iHSS57-36 motors, which have the output stages integrated and are only controlled with step/dir. So your EaserCAT-3000 would be just right for my needs
Your EaserCAT-3000 would be exactly the extension!

I am looking for some guidance on switching my plasma table from hypertherm controls with servo motors/drivers to linuxcnc.  I have retrofitted my other plasma table that uses steppers to qtplasmac/mesa hardware, however the servo wiring is beyond me.  The current hypertherm controls cuts fine, however the microedge has been spontaneously rebooting and unreliable.I have a thcad 5 and thcad 10 already on hand, after reading around, I believe a mesa 7i97t is what I need?  Either way I am unsure of the wiring that needs done.  I apologize for my incompetence and am willing to learn.  I really like the qtplasmac interface over hypertherms softwareI attached pictures of the hardware. Would it be possible to leave the pcb that the servo drivers connect to on the back panel and replace the microedge controller with some mesa hardware and the needed power supplies and linux computer?

Something like 3 weekends later and the rotational parts move as they should. I got lucky with my material choices trying to keep things cheap. I ended up with about .005 to spare on the surfaces that mater and ended up with some mismatched surfaces just from the stock not being round. I got lucky this time. now if i can get it to seal in the right places and direct the air in the right places I'm in business the rest is downhill on this on this side. the other end is more complicated yet

(does the spindle return to the same reference position when done)

I added this line: "loadusr linuxcncrsh -n --name localhost, -p , --port 5007" at the end of my hal file, and there didn't appear any error when I ran the CNC manually the Axis Gui. Everything works. But when i tried to run in this command "telnet localhost 5007", through the Terminal I got this error:Trying ::1...

The frego paper i tried to read it tonight. It brings up several idea's how clothoids where solved in the past.
And then it bring's up a closed form solution.
However i just miss the knowlegde here to understand how it's done.

This paper i would bring under attention, it uses 4 clothoids to generate a clothoid spline fillet in 3d.
The mathematics are quite well documented. And the result pictures look very promising.
