Hello Will,I am also new to the world of LinuxCNC and servos. It can be a lot to take in. I have been working on a Marco Reps clone box as well and have a thorough walkthrough for the process so far. I'm stuck on getting gantry mode working but it looks like you won't have that problem. I have also provided two config files. The modello config is setup as a gantry mode, but I have tried a probe basic config with 3 axis in trying to master/slave the gantry servos via RS 485 cable rather than in LinuxCNC. That should work for your system. You will still need to comment out various bits in the files regarding the LS510 VFD and the xhc-whb04b handheld controller if you are not using this hardware. I am leaving for vacation today but let me know how you get on.

I think I probably detected the source of these  weird settings disabling jog. Guess it can just be the Config file. Nowhere else I can find a similar demonination of the pins etc.
I have to check this, but I started with a config file created by PC-Config and without MPG included.
Then I had PC-Config create a new one with a different name and copied the MPG related lines of the newly created .hal file to my existing .hal file.
But the config file is still the initial one (without MPG) and therefore jogging is disabled.
I will try this weekend to create a new config file with PC-Config, include the MPG and all data I know mean while. Hope to get it working this way.

the main argument against windows is that it doesn't run LinuxCNC

I know someone else with this config, and he has written a walkthrough. I will ask him to post it.

oh well, rio also supports e.g. ROS and MQTT without LinuxCNC, so the ARM core can also be very helpful.

And it may even be possible to run LinuxCNC directly there without a GUI.

i can't say much about the conditions, the board i have looks quite good. And even if you always have to buy 2, it's still cheaper than a new single Zynq chip

I was a bit put off by the description of the conditions of the boards, I think on one of the github pages it was recommended to buy a couple of boards as they can be, as we say in Australianish, "a bit how ya goin".

I think that it will be the computer suppliers that will dictate the Desktop uptake. The average Joe will want Windows, the Mac users are dedicated to Apple, or whatever Apple throws at them.
People will just want a turnkey solution, or if they build their own PC what they are comfortable with.
I would posit a guess that the uptake in people connecting to the internet via phones or tablets is on the increase..........it would appear the easiest route to rot your brain with social media.

Apparently the latest trend on TikTok is their AI becoming sentient and having a soul. So I really don't have a lot of hope. I'm pretty sure it would the same group that use mediums, astrology, talk to spirits and jump on the "Latest Thing".

rio's goal is that it runs on all FPGAs.
since the znyq already has an arm core and is connected to ethernet, you should be able to use it.

at the moment i wouldn't advise anyone to use the board for RIO, the TangNano9k is much better suited.
But somehow it is a challenge for me to get everything running on the board and once everything is working it will certainly have some extended possibilities.

Not a lot of info to go on.
If your PC uses a realtek NIC I would search the forums for what to do. That would be a good starting point.

Next thing would be to ensure no "noisy" wires are crossing signal wires.

Next thing would be to ensure that the PSU that are powering the Mesa baord are giving a clean voltage. A good quality PSU, such as Meanwell or Weidmuller are good choices. Ensure the servo drivers are wired according to the manuals, don't skip the recommendations fro any filtering, not a cheap exercise, but well worth worth it.

Keep power wiring away from signal wiring. Don't expect a "rat's nest" to operate trouble free.

Don't wire every at once, wire one section at a time and test, trouble shoot and fix as you go. If something stops performing as it should it makes trouble shooting easier as you can start at the last addition you made.

Where ever possible terminate the ends of bare wires with "bootlace ferrules" makes inserting wiring into screw connectors easier and prevents start strands of wires floating in the breeze.

If you have implemented all these measures and have "noise" issues you will need to provide far more information. PCW may chime in and ask for you to do some "ping tests" and such, as this is his domain I shall leave it to him to guide you through that part.

If I remember right, linuxcnc doesn't do synchronized motion on rotary axis.
Maybe wrong term but feeds,speeds and acceleration is determined by x,y,z only and the rotary axis will do the best it can. When it can't keep up this in the figure happens.
One usually uses the inverse time feed specification G93, and calculate the time needed for the movement in the CAM post-processor.
There are converters on "the web" that can translate G code to G93.

The only option would be to buy a cnc lathe, which is not a budget option.

Every other option is going to require you to do some wiring.

Even something such as this, github.com/clough42/electronic-leadscrew, will require you to do some wiring. And this is only a solution to screw cutting and doesn't have any cnc capabilities, tho it doesn't connect to a computer.

Once a again another Electronic Lead Screw, www.rocketronics.de/en/els/ no connection to a PC,no cnc capabilities but does other some extra features. Is still a user install, so there is wiring involved, but no connection to a PC. not really a budget solution.

First mistake was using a buck conveter, 2nd I would seem to be not checking the operation of the buck converter prior to connecting everything up. 3rd mistake would have been to triple checking everything.

Simple solution would have been to power the breakout board from a known and working 5v supply or whatever voltage the BoB required.

I am using mesa board 7I76E to control 5 axis cnc with servo motors 
I installed the linuxcnc on a laptop when i run linuxcnc with the mesa board on the laptop everything works well i got some wired interference like loosing Ethernet communication with the board or the mouse pad will be crashed all the time but i was ignore them because they didn't really influence on my project.
After that i installed the same version of linuxcnc on a desktop computer in fact i used the same ssd so it was the same software, the same configuration at this moment the noise issue became more than usually now i lost the communication every 5 min around ana that's a big problem. Do you have an idea what is the exact issues happened to me , how could i decrease those noise
