Bitfile for 7c80 was created by strahlensauger

Bitfile for 7c80

Category: Advanced Configuration

Hello,
I tried to create a bitfile for my 7c80 using the default file and adding 2 Encoders to the pins on P1.
Using ISE from Xilinx version 14.7 it throws a lot of warnings, even if I try to compile the provided default file e.g.
PIN_7C80D_54.vhd
For playing around I would like to connect the encoders directly to P1, not using muxed signals which come with the
PIN_7C80_7I85D_54.vhd
Bitfile.
Maybe someone could point me in the right direction using Xilinx ISE.
I added the ending to txt to attach the files...

qtplasmac float switch not working

Category: Plasmac

Hello everyone, I have installed the latest qtplasmac for the first time on a plasma table with a switch style floating head. The float led on the screen does not light up when the switch is tripped. I had this switch mapped as probe in when using pncconf. I tried switching the probe in to a home switch I know works and it still wouldn't light up. Any insight on how I can get the float switch to work is greatly appreciated.

What do you really get for a $350 desk top engraver ?

Category: Show Your Stuff

this is a tool path simulation screen shot with fusion 360. just to give some perspective of how small these features are the depth of this undercut section is only .03 deep and the design in the undercut section is only ,015 in height and the radius on these features is only around .008. i see some small sections that are to small to get into but for the sizes i am working with i would say it's getting pretty darn close to 100%

Trying to update to Linuxcnc 2.9

Category: Installing LinuxCNC

I've been running linuxcnc 2.8.4something under Mint 20. The ideal solution would be Mint 20 or 21 and linuxcnc 2.9. As far as I can tell, this is not an option due to Python 3.10 on Mint.

I have a spare SSD, so I installed Debian 12 and linuxcnc-uspace. I'm using parallel ports, my short term jitter more than doubled (vs. Mint 20/2.8). Not good.
I have been trying to switch to the RTAI kernel, have not been able to figure it out.

Advice will be greatly appreciated,
Steve

Advantage of closing the position loop in LinuxCNC

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

Personally the main thing that makes my life much easier is the ability to disable motors and move the machine by hand and still have the position correct, enable motors and continue working! :)

Please explain how you do this?
Thanks

ProbeBasic backplot issue? was created by B.Reilly01

ProbeBasic backplot issue?

Category: QtPyVCP

SIM version launches ok, so I'm pretty sure its in my ini or hal files...  I get the below error and cannot do much.  The DRO doesn't update either.-

EDIT:  Everything seems functional except backplotting

What Linux OS being used including kernel type?Bookworm kernel 6.1.0-21-rt-amd64-
What version of Linuxcnc is installed?2.9.2-
What version of QtPyVCP and Probe Basic is installed?I don't know-
How did you install Probe Basic? Quickstart guide? Dev Guide? .deb guide, not dev version.  just ran apt upgrade w/ stable repository-
Have you gone through your ini and hal files and compared to the sim config files to make any changes needed?Yes-
Have you added all of the necessary files in your config folder that probe basic needs to run?I think so-
Have you tested the sim version to see if the problem exists there also? (if the sim functions properly, it is a good indicator your issue is in your config)

Trapezgewindespindel Glasmaßstab

Category: Deutsch

Hallo,

1000mm/min.

Gruß
Sven
