In plasma_cutter.ini change:
to:
Sorry I didn't realise it was an embedded tab.
Code:
[DISPLAY]
DISPLAY = axis
EMBED_TAB_NAME = GladeVCP
EMBED_TAB_COMMAND = halcmd loadusr -Wn gladevcp gladevcp -c gladevcp -H gvcp_call_list.hal -x {XID} gvcp-panel.ui
to:
Code:
[DISPLAY]
DISPLAY = axis
#EMBED_TAB_NAME = GladeVCP
#EMBED_TAB_COMMAND = halcmd loadusr -Wn gladevcp gladevcp -c gladevcp -H gvcp_call_list.hal -x {XID} gvcp-panel.ui

Yay it’s working! Thank you very much again. I have one more issue I can see now though. It says Home Axis where it use to say home all. I have a tandem axis set up so I can’t home them individually. How do I get it to have them all home (z-axis being immediate home), I think this is an issue because like I said I only have one limit switch for the z axis and it’s on the floating head so it’s not set to home and limit shared

That would require every joint to have a home sequence, so in the ini file in the existing [JOINT_N] sections, something like:
For any joint that you manually move to a home position, make sure the below items don't exist or are commented out:
Code:
[JOINT_0]
HOME_SEQUENCE = 1
[JOINT_1]
HOME_SEQUENCE = -2
[JOINT_2]
HOME_SEQUENCE = -2
[JOINT_3]
HOME_SEQUENCE = 0
For any joint that you manually move to a home position, make sure the below items don't exist or are commented out:
Code:
HOME_SEARCH_VEL
HOME_LATCH_VEL
HOME_FINAL_VEL

I may have accidentally lied. So I have a picture I converted into g-code, I plugged that in to see if it all worked. My z axis isn’t moving though. It didn’t move at all. I was expecting a touch off as is suppose to happen with a floating head but nothing. I may just have converted the g code wrong. All the Inkscape videos are weird

You need a spindle o on command to start the probe sequence. PlasmaC remove all Z commands as it handle all the Z axis height.
Open one of the example files made for Plasmac, they are installed with LinuxCNC.

When you go to open a file they should be in a subdirectory named plasmac.
Their real location is /usr/share/linuxcnc/ncfiles/plasmac/
