If you do not get the grub menu at boot:
launchpad.net/~danielrichter2007/+archiv...untu/grub-customizer
Use that to make the default kernel at boot the RT one.

I would keep your existing OS which has preemptRT on it already. I could not get Mint 2.0 going with Tommy;s shortcut. If you do go that way, I would search for his 19.3 version which I know works.

Hi Rod,
I will go with 19.3, Yesterday was enough pissing around trying to fix the SSD from INTENSO. I do believe that the extra flash is very damaged.

So now I have something to report.
1. Touch did work out of the box but needs to be calibrated.
2. My cycles tab does not work = no graphics
Can this be an issue of converted hal/ini from 2.7.14 to 2.8?
3. Camera issues
Here mpv is run stand alone and cross-hairs are OK
Here mpv in gmoccapy and cross-hair is not as it should be
How to rotate picture 90° ?

The problem above looks to be problems with Mint.
Below here 2 screenshots with Debian 10 LCNC and it just works.
Only thing I have not figured out yet is how to rotate the webcam 90
EMBED_TAB_COMMAND = mpv /dev/video0 --wid {XID} --vf-add=drawbox=-1:2:-1:240:t=1 --vf-add=drawbox=2:-1:320:-1:t=1 --no-border
I will install a new Debian 10 on the now formatted SSD and see if I can get TOUCH working.

It's in the manual.
Good decision, will make your life a lot easier in the future.
Maybe you can start a new topic with each problem. This topic is getting messy and it's unusable for future reference for other users with same problems.

It's in the manual.
Code:
--video-rotate=<0-359|no>
Rotate the video clockwise, in degrees. Currently supports 90° steps only. If no is given, the video is never rotated, even if the file has rotation metadata. (The rotation value is added to the rotation metadata, which means the value 0 would rotate the video according to the rotation metadata)
