Off-the-wall suggestion: Is this a
"fake" USB stick?
There are some out there that claim to be bigger than they are. Everything seems to work, but files written outside he real size simply can't be read back

Any tips on what needs to be done to reduce latency. I think I had seen somewhere that some of the cores need to be locked down to stabilize it. but i could not figure out how to do it. I turned off boost in the bios but things go worse. and tips? thanks guys

There is some earlier info about using ISOLCPUS but this is obsolete for the J1900 hardware. Just go into the BIOS and keep turning stuff off and rechecking. Don't use the included Wifi. Grab a USB dongle instead.
Remember you won't have a base thread with mesa hardware so latency is much relaxed. I think mine is up around 120000. So long since I checked. also, there is a way to call the latency test from the command line and only test the servo thread. Maybe someone will remember for you!
