Sorry, yes terminate your stepper shields all on that strip.
But don't forget you also need a star ground to receive earth drains from every motor and any float switch etc that is on another side of a slide of any kind so there is a firm and seperate path to ground. Then you r internal strip would also terminate to it.
24 volts I think is is too low even for NEMA 17's but you might prove me wrong.

Alright, my table is burning metal. What's a good test to see of 24v will be up to snuff?

If there are missed steps. you may be OK as there are no cutting forces with plasma. Just be aware of it. If shapes are not as expected. that is likely the problem.

24V is OK, just do not expect to much speed.
Make a lot of small squares and check if they all end up with the same dimensions.

Ah, okay! Well in that case I'm pretty confident. This cnc was designed for 12v and a router and is used successfully by lots of folks for milling. I did suspect high speeds for quite thin materials would be my limitation. Thanks for all your help, gentlemen!
