I hadn't thought of that. I'm sure it will happen again in the future and I'll definitely bear that in mind.

I ordered a pack of 10 16-tooth GT2 pulleys today. They're 6mm bore, and I have 1/4" shafts so I'm planning to open the bore up that extra little bit. 10 for $9.99, why not?

Back to the FineCut consumables that I was having trouble with. Apparently the wrong shield was in the right package. I double checked it and sure enough it wasn't correct. I suspect it had been opened at the welding supply place or something, maybe dropped and things not placed back correctly. They refused to swap it, so I went elsewhere and found one. Finecuts work flawlessly now.
Also got in the extra length of 2GT belt for the big swapout. The 16T pulleys should deliver Monday mid-day. I tried cutting some 18ga and the coarseness shows up on that, not so much on 10ga or thicker from my observations. Going from the 3GT 20T to 2GT 16T should be a big difference, thanks again Tommy for the recommendation a while back.
Also got lucky...I found a Speedaire filter/dryer that I had thought to be lost several years ago. When I had it in use before it did a really good job, so between the finecut consumables, the new belt & pulley, and the additional dryer, I think things are looking to improve a great bit.

These arrived yesterday. Drilling them out the extra .35mm didn't work so well, as the are two-piece. I had ordered properly sized pulleys but they were moving a lot slower in the supply chain so I thought why not try this for $10. Oh well, now I know.
