I did a cut yesterday 10 mm thick and and the start wavered a bit like yours.

I was wondering if this is the sort of the same as you

That looks odd. I have no idea if it could be the same issue though. I just tried another square with a perpendicular lead-in at a corner and no issue. When I moved the lead-in to the middle of that side the issue was there, so since yours started at the corner I would tend to believe it isn't the same issue. Almost looks as if the axis got shifted mechanically somehow.

That is thermal distortion, the part moved during cutting as it was getting heated as can be seen from the delta at the beginning of the cut. Granted you did not move the part by hand. Thick materials will always move, so when space permits i add weights wherever possible.I did a cut yesterday 10 mm thick and and the start wavered a bit like yours.

Erm I would have thought that the ct off would have moved the part was 1000mm by about 180mm 10mm the rest of the cut was fine. Although it is probably at the limit of the 40 plasma.
The cut was started on the scrap piece 10mm before the main part.

That is a struggle to cut, but it looks like it did work nicely.

this post
I just want to orient the pics to match the code.

The numbers I marked on them correspond to your files left to right. Remember they are marked upside down (X/Y zero is top right)

#1 and #2 are the same cut beginning and ending at the bottom centre but with reverse direction. The step in them looks to me like a classic case of backlash. It looks like the fourth leg of the cut (Y direction) has come up short.
#2 and #2b are identical but with the Y motors swapped around. The step in #2b looks a bit more pronounced but that may be the picture resolution.
#3 and #4 are the same cut beginning and ending at the left centre but with reverse direction.
#3 looks to me like backlash. It looks like the fourth leg of the cut (X direction) has come up short.
#4 doesn't make sense to me at all, the fourth leg of the cut (X direction) has grown... Are you sure that wasn't a repeat of #3?
I think your table is possessed

I have cut this for a friend that has made over 100 routers from 10'x5' vertical to small ones like 1000 by 600 but not done a plasma build but I am slowly converting him PlasmaC and LinuxCnc
