Prox sensors for plasma table - Advice needed

Which/what type of proximity sensors have worked well for home and limit switches? I am wiring up a 5' x 10' plasma table, using a Mesa 7i76e, and would like to use some decent proximity sensors.

Also, how exactly do the home and limit sensors/switches connect to the 7i76e?

Thx

I cannot recommend the prox sensors as I use industrial limit switches but I have attached my wiring diagram I made for wiring my 7i76e which shows how I wired up mine.

Thanks! Which limit switches did you go with?

I used prox on the last two and will use on the two current builds, cheap ones, NPN, they do work nicely, just do not use the included cable, it is not shielded, so i cut it some 7 to 10 cm from the sensor and wire shielded cable.

If you use proximity sensors with the 7I76E, make sure you
select "PNP" type sensors

(NPN types require an external pullup resistor per sensor)

I am using these Telsa brand switches I brought locally.

Those are heavy duty compared to the toy switches I had been using with my old setup.

On the low end of their price scale, my local electronics outlet has Omron and RS Pro. These here are $22/each, plus the plug, and wire.

*Plug sold separately, wire not included, some assembly required, see store for full details*

FYI, on the 2 new builds using PNP sensors.
Sorry, forgot to mention that.

Are they anything like the model in the link from my previous post?
