QtPlasmaC and PlasmaC use external offsets to control the Z axis/torch so it needs some headroom to operate.
Set the acceleration to 300 instead of 900.
Also using direct driven rack and pinion will never get good results, especially since there are no springs to keep the pinion pressed against the rack, so there is a lot of slop.
Reduction and springs would help a lot.

I understand. Spring is a bit to much work at the moment. But i can try reducing acceleration.
But please take a look at the samples i make with an pencil.
This look much more better.
Is this why the pencil touch the paper or is the problem a different one?
The first one is with higher acceleration and the second with half speed.

Pen is touching the surface while the torch does not, so the pen test is not of much use for plasma, except when there are hardware issues.
Test with lower acceleration, it should work better.

I bought a new plasma cutter and a cnc torch
www.stahlwerk-schweissgeraete.de/STAHLWE...er-CUT-50-Pilot-IGBT

This cutter works much better for me because it has a pilot ignition.

Today i cut this sample out. It is 110mm high and 70mm wide.
I cut with 1000mm/min and 20 amps 4bars and a cut high of 2mm.
What do you think? Do you have some tips for me?

Set it at 40A and leave it there, looks like to fast and to low current.
For anything above 1mm, 35 to 40A, and just change the speed while checking the cut.
Do several lines of 20 to 30cm length, start at say 1m/m and check for dross under the cut, then try one faster and one slower, check under what looks better, repeat.

Black around the cut?
Heat.
Cut faster = less black.
