Working machine with all axis calibrated and homing.
Float switch, all limit/home switches working and jog directions etc. OK.
Float travel set at 3 and probe height set at 8 for starters.
Start of probes test: Torch moves up until trips home/limit switch
rather than down for probe testing????
Anyone have any thoughts on this one?

You need to post your machine config folder or at least all your HAL and INI files from it.
Just zip up the folder and post it here.

Or depending on your version just click "backup" on the config tab
It'll dump a compressed file with your whole config in it into your Linux home directory.

You only pasted your .ini file. Off the cuff it looks like you have you min and max limits a bit wonky for Z.
It really helps us if you can upload the entire configuration. Again, if you can click "backup" from the config tab, and drop the resulting file from your Linux home folder to here, that would help us help you.

Sorry the .hal didn't make it through - here it is again. I don't see 'backup' as an option from the config . There is a folder labeled backups but it does not contain files from this latest machine. There is an option for 'compress' but it did not create a new folder that I can find on the home page or desktop ??? So here are both files again.
As a note on my z limits - there is a home =5 statement that I had to add to cover the large hysterisis of my limit / home switch - other wise it didn't move off far enough and caused a limit error.
Thanks again for your time.

Yes I believe Z moves in correct direction with the jog bottons. Home is at the top of travel and like the other axis, Jog + moves away from home, in this case down.
My version of PlasmaC v0.169 and does not have a Backup tab as you show. As soon as I get it working on take on the task of upgrading.
Thanks,
Dennis

OK - I can reverse what I have now but .......Z now works like X and Y. Jogging Z+ does increases DRO readout and moves further away from Home Z which is at the top of travel. Max Z value on DRO is farthest from Z home which is down towards material. It does go through a proper home sequence now as well.
Will give it a go reversed.
Thanks,
Dennis
