Getting my head around the Z axis where + is towards HOME where my other Axis/Joints X and Y is the opposite, was the big issue.

Just guessing that your other machine is a milling machine.

When I first started in CNC, I had a hard time wrapping my head around this as well. Always seemed opposite because you press the right arrow, and the table moves to the left.

One day I realized that if I think about it in relation to how I want the head to move, it all makes sense.

For example, on a mill, if I want the part to go to the left, the HEAD would have to move RIGHT. Thus I press the right arrow. Of course it's all in relation, and the head doesn't move anywhere, but you get the idea.

Same logic for the plasma. I want the torch (head) to move to the right, I press right.

Maybe that helps a bit?

At any rate, I am glad you got your issue sorted. Now the fun part, cutting :)

All axis, working, probing, homing, dry run of ngc file OK. Thank you.
On to torching things up a bit or should I screw it up with an upgrade???
Haven't done that before. And still have to change Rpi4 cores to just 2,3.
Life is good. Life is fun.

What version of PlasmaC are you on? It's on the config tab, near the backup button Phill showed you yesterday.

At any rate, updating PlasmaC shouldn't mess anything up for you. Depending what version you are on currently.

There is a good diagram here to show that all axis movements are related to the tool:
